Kards and Co. arrived yesterday from Shetland via Glasgow. Needless to say it has been very merry in the cottage. We had a great walk around Eaglescairnie and then Nick cooked up a curry feast, followed by some mango sorbet that I concocted à la Jamie Oliver. Having eaten our fill (and some), we all piled into the car and drove into Edinburgh to see The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. Everyone gave it the thumbs up and feeling very upbeat we wandered up to Calton Hill armed with flasks of hot chocolate to see the fireworks and welcome in the New Year.
