The Kelpies

There have been many pictures of The Kelpies near Falkirk including this one of mine. The Kelpies are complete and work is progressing on the surrounding areas. It was very wet, after last night's heavy rain, so the canal was flowing swiftly to the River Carron.

I liked the way the swan echoed the shape of The Kelpies, but it would have been better, if I could have got it to face the other way. We were on our way to Crianlarich, for a couple of days walking. It was noticeable how much low level snow had washed off the hills over the weekend and ended up in the rivers. The Forth was very large near the M9, and Loch Lubnaig had spilled over the A84 near its outlet. Luckily not enough to block the road. The forecast isn't brilliant and it's hosing down at the moment.
