The idea of walking, in crisp winter sunshine, whilst cramponing over the snowfields, disappeared with one glance out of the window this morning. The cloud was down below the top of Ben More and showers were passing through. We decided to go to Arrochar and perhaps go up Ben Narnain. We haven't seen the view from it and I want to complete the Munros by seeing the view from all of them. A tall order, but someone has to do it. Anyway, by the time we got there, any patches of blue sky had disappeared, so a change of plans was needed. We went up Cruach Tairbeirt, a Marilyn above Tarbet, Loch Lomond. I can't pretend the weather was very good, as it rained a lot of the time, and outwith the trees it was windy too. We did see some views and it would have a great view on a fine day. The blip is taken on the way down and sums the conditions up really well.
