The Lozarithm Lens

Chippenham

Turned out the problem with my smartphone wasn't the battery as the new one wouldn't charge either, so last Tuesday I went in to Chippenham to get it looked at. Although it was out of warranty, Carphone Warehouse wouldn't look at it without a proof of purchase (I hadn't thought to bring that with me) and O2 weren't interested unless I had a contract with them.

I wandered down to the Avon were there were half a dozen swans and a couple of Canada geese. It was the first time this year that I'd seen any swans, apart from at Slimbridge. This male mute swan was in displaying mode and looked very lordly.

I  also bagged a free takeaway cappuccino from the self-service machine with my grocery purchases. It took two dispenses to get a reasonable mug-full and when I lifted the lid back at the car there was a total absence of frothy milk and it tasted bitter and unpleasant. Black mark, Waitrose.
