Sunrise (Over the Hill)

Almost went swimming this morning, but at the last minute I stopped and walked down a footpath towards one of my favourite trees. THe clouds changed so much, so quickly. What had been a solid front of thick cloud receded from the rising sun and left this pattern of radiating high cloud behind it. Even as I took the shots I knew this was going to be the one.

Technical: 3 shot HDR at 2 stop separation. Tried to keep it as natural as possible, although Photomatix Pro doesn't do subtle very well. Still had to use Lightroom basic sliders to pull out detail in the tree trunk. I desaturated the greens to make them more believable.
