Going off the deep end
I took the back road home from my cello lesson this afternoon, and in doing so, had the pleasure of passing by Bloedel Donovan Park on the shores of Lake Whatcom. There's noticeably more activity today than there was a month ago when I blipped the park.
Apparently, several young women decided to fast-forward the seasons by plunging feet first into the frigid lake waters. (If only my photo could capture their screams.) A four-legged friend, non-chalantly paddling by with stick in mouth, also had the same idea.
Brrrr! I love the water, and I love swimming, but I'm waiting 'til July or August before I take the plunge.
