art journaling and blog posting
I wrote a blog post for my fairly dusty creative lenna blog tonight about this art journal spread-wow! It had been some time since I had been to my blog and I had to remember how to do it! I spend most of my online time posting a photo and writing about it daily, here on blipfoto. It suits me these days as I usually take a lot of photos every day and I love the community here. Someone thanked me for the wonderful Nia class photos yesterday and this popped out of my mouth, "It is my passion." - Why yes, photography is!
My creative lenna blog was where I spent a lot of my time posting photos and writing about my art and my life --previously. I started it in 2006 and there are over 1000 posts with lots of photos. I still create mixed media art, obviously -see the journal page above! But I would say that photography comes first now and it is my creative outlet for the most part. I am desiring to keep my hand in my paints, paper and collage though, so I am going to attempt to continue with my blog as well. Try a little harder to get back in the habit of art and writing about it. Tonight's post was a start, you can read it here. In fact, I talk about blip in the post!! :)
This journal page here is a record of my great uncle's exhibit that I got to see in February at the Museum of Art in FT Lauderdale. The circle is a sticker that is a copy of one of his paintings. If you'd like to learn more, please click on the link to the post above.
My only wonder is how will I do it all? I often seem to run out of time! One foot in front of the other and a desire to do it should get me on the path. Apologies in advance for not leaving comments as often! I will come visit as soon as I can :)
Be a good human being, a warm-hearted affectionate person. That is my fundamental belief. Having a sense of caring, a feeling of compassion will bring happiness or peace of mind to oneself and automatically create a positive atmosphere. - Dalai Lama
