Cathedral of The Isles

This is the view of Britain's smallest cathedral from the road that leads to the top of the island of Cumbrae in the Firth of Clyde. As the sun shone convincingly for the first time in ages, we came here to sing Evensong with our friend who plays the cathedral organ - something we first did together in 1969.

The acoustics of the cathedral are such that three people can easily sustain the sound of a choir, and the experience is as fresh and exciting now as it was 45 years ago. I love being here.
