Banners in the wind

For two days this Easter weekend the coloured banners of the orienteering clubs brightened up the bleak hills at the "Head of the Valleys" . The Saxons banner is my Club and you can just see Mr P in the check shirt.

As we traversed the hills there were many reminders of the area's former mining past as well as lots of sheep and ponies, probably related to pit ponies from the past.
