The Easter Parade

Old chassis, fresh paint
wheel through the city to the
park, gleaning new friends

The Kamloops Vintage Car Club hosted the 44th Annual Easter Parade today. Vehicles gathered in the Westsyde Shopping Centre to begin the parade at 1 PM. N and A were in charge of "Daisy", my 1947 Plymouth. N was the driver, A was dressed to kill in vintage clothing. She gathered a lot of attention in her mink and rhinestones. One fellow, who owned a very large Cadillac, asked A to pose getting out of the back seat. She obliged with a big smile. We teased him that he was going to be in a lot of trouble when the wife saw his photos.

I left the shopping centre to get across town and find a good vantage point to catch the arrival of the parade at Riverside Park. I found a place to stand at the entrance to Heritage House and waited for the string of vehicles to arrive.

We were fortunate to have some sun today, although the wind is still chilly.

The parade arrived before 2 PM and the vehicles were moved onto the field in front of the band shell as they came into the park. A put on her full length mink to keep warm and finally got to eat her picnic lunch!

**I have no clue what the hedgehog was supposed to be doing at the park. A mascot?
