Taking Off

I had an unexpected quiet day today. What a treat. Arvin and I decided to go on a long walk. The sun was shining brilliantly. It was unseasonably warm. What a nice gift. Of course I took lots of photos. I chose this one because of the action. We were at Scudder Pond watching the birds. There were two Canada Geese swimming toward the back of the pond. All of the sudden they started calling so I pointed my telephoto lens and them and they obliged by taking off and swimming over to another pond. Nice luck I thought. I chose this one because I like all that splashing and the details in his or her under wing. I posted some of the other photos I took on Chaikins of Bellingham.
