MONO MONDAY: Selfie. In my mothers loving arms

This image was taken in 1962 at Karitane Hospital Invercargill.Karitane was a specialist children s hospital for mothers and babies to recover I was born 2 months premature weighing 8lb, 10oz. The delivery suite was in pandemonium as they thought they were going to lose my mother and me and I was required to have a blood transfusion, during this procedure I crapped on the needle and this caused an infection which required surgery. I can say I am healthy and my Mother produced another 3, 2 girls and 1 boy as the years went on. A grand total of 7 children. I am the poor bugger in the middle
