Chippenham

I was lured to Chippenham railway station by the prospect of steam, but it was not forthcoming. Few steam specials go via Chippenham but I had learned that a Cathedrals Express had called there in the morning. After a search online, I thought I had worked out when it would pass through on the return trip and spent a damp three-quarters of an hour on the station platform, but there were no other photographers or trainspotters, no announcements and no steam engines.
