Sunset at Atawhai

Keith and I made a quick trip over the winding hilly roads to Nelson today. Keith had to see his eye specialist for a check-up. We had a leisurely lunch at a popular café called Broccoli Row and then did the medical stuff.
Afterwards we visited son Duncan and his partner Mei... Duncan is a keen gardener and wanted to show off their latest developments. We enjoyed afternoon tea and some family time and then set off homewards.
The tide was in along the shoreline. I warned Keith that there would be a compulsory photo stop if the light was looking right once we reached a well-known and often photographed dinghy moored near the shore. The dinghy is called “Click” and yes, the light was just right. Yay! And there was a white faced heron sitting on the dinghy. A double bonus and just perfect for today’s blip. The sun was displaying “God’s Fingers” through the clouds and the long black line of the famous “Boulder Bank “was clear and crisp in the late afternoon light. Pure magic……
