San Diego marina at night

Lots of work to catch up on first thing before the London office woke up. We then headed down to the conference center to pack up the last bits of the stand and make sure that they got sent back to New York. It was amazing to see how quickly the inside of the convention centre had been stripped from our conference and it will probably be all kitted out for the next event by tomorrow.

Put together the slides for my talk in the conference center foyer and then headed out with a colleague to the outskirts of the city. The afternoon was very hot and sunny and we were pleased to retreat into air-conditioned offices for the talk.

The three of us went out to eat in the evening and then took a walk by the marina in the dark. There was a beautifully fragranced plant that I didn't recognise that was attracting the moths - I googled it later and think it was Natal plum (Carissa macrocarpa). There were some fitness fanatics running up and down the steps to the convention centre while we were there. Apparently it is a favourite training spot. I was happy just to watch.
