River Ouse

The River Ouse flows through East Sussex in southern England.
The river source is in Lower Beeding.
It then flows through Lewes on the way through the South Downs entering the English Channel at Newhaven.

The author Virginia Woolf drowned herself in the River Ouse on March 28, 1941, near the village of Rodmell.
Her sister Vanessa Bell lived in Charleston Farmhouse not too far away from Rodmell, Virginia used to walk to visit her sister.
A walking path runs along the edge of the River Ouse from Rodmell to Lewes.
