Sparrowhawks 1, Young Starlings -1

Early this morning I was greeted in the garden by a scene of carnage worthy of the African Savanna. The local sparrowhawk had killed, plucked and eaten a young starling not many days out of the nest. Nature red in tooth and claw, except that in this case no teeth were involved.
