A Meandering Life...

By Skeena

Charles Rennie Mackintosh inspired trellis.

I made this trellis a year or so back, it hangs on the front of my house. Made from roof battens, exterior ply and stained glass it is my attempt at a 'Mackintosh' designed feature.

Last year it had honeysuckle climbing up it. This I cut back earlier as it didn't flower as I hoped. The plant you see is a Euphorbia mellifera which has started to smell of honey.

I've always admired the work of Charles Rennie Mackintosh and always hoped to see the Glasgow School of Art one day. Hopefully they will restore the building back to its former glory soon.
