What a delightful place to be after ceasing to be

I went for a lovely walk on the New Hall Estate today & stumbled across this little graveyard in the woods.

Being a bit nosey I went to have a look at the gravestones - what a delightful turn of phrase to remember the poor child - marked by the most ornate stone...

This headstone marks the remains of Thomas Denmore Brown, an uncommonly fine child who was born on 5th April, 1807 and after an illness of only eight hours died in New Hall House on 19th sept 1809
