Black Sky Big Storm

We could see this storm front coming towards us for quite a while and I took a series of photos during that period. This one was the most imposing with the eery black clouds coming directly towards us!

Just before it started to rain the wind sprang up out of nowhere and strong gusts were picking up everything that was loose. Thunder rang out and there were some stunning flashes of lightning, none of which I was able to catch with the camera!!

Toto is not fond of thunder and gets quite agitated and had to go and sit under a chair somewhere until it stopped! :0(

Anyway, the prediction was for storms with destructive winds but there didnt seem to be any damage from the wind in our immediate area. It has rained quite heavily all day and made for a stay at home day which was very nice for a change! Toto wouldnt agree with that, he was going stir crazy!! :)
