Party boy (part 1 of 2)

Decided to capture the essence of a birthday party, either side of BlipMidnight.

Firstly, pre-midnight, we have the inestimable Dave, husband to the birthday girl and every inch the bon viveur, in my eyes he temporarily became the living embodiment of author Kyril Bonfiglioli's great character Charlie Mortdecai.

Who, you ask? The Mortdecai Trilogy is a wonderful read, maybe not easy to find nowadays but worth scavenging about for if you are so inclined.
