Not Teasing, Tiny Nymph Atop Dipsacus

I went out with the long lens this morning in the hope of ringing the changes pic wise. Very few birds about and nothing much else of interest. :(

I tried again this evening and all I could see was bugs so swapped lenses. We have a stand of teasels in our former carpark and they are just coming into flower. I decided to lurk and see what came their way.

I got butterflies, spiders, ladybirds, bees and hoverflies. As I was leaving I spotted this tiny field grasshopper nymph at eye height. How weird that its eyes are speckled like its body. I wonder what it was doing up there? :)
