Contrasts....

The pruning of grapevines is well underway around Marlborough. Here in the Meadowbank Station Vineyard adjacent to the Taylor River these older vines were pruned some time ago. They are looking very tidy and organised. The early sun was shining on the thousands of vineyard posts in the distance. It made for a stark contrast between the intensive man-made environment and the natural background of the Richmond Range.
