Love
Day 141 - February 2, 2010
"Abstract." Sometimes people declare that love is an abstraction or an idea that is frequently expressed but not explained. At the lecture I attended tonight on campus, Dr. Helen Fisher explained love from a biological point of view - based on brain scans done on three groups of people who declared they were madly in love: those in new relationships, those who have been rejected, and those who had been together for a number of years and still felt love towards their partners. Her findings were so interesting, and she was such a wonderful speaker. This was definitely the most fun I've had at a lecture in my life.
(According to her personality types, I'm a "Negotiator.")
