The Edge of the Wold

Evening gulls

The sun had already set by the time we arrived at Ashmeadow for Gus's evening walk. Big flocks of gulls were flying down the estuary to roost out in Morecambe Bay. It was a calming end to a busy day. We collected a lot of blackberries at Jack Scout, it's a bumper season. Wifie is busy making bramble jelly. Much of the rest of the day was spent cutting up the dead tree that I took down last weekend, nothing will be wasted.

Yesterday Alison and I finished our Statement for the Inquiry, and we submitted it at the end of the day, just 24 hours late. It's a big relief to have that out of the way.

I'm fretting a little, because Reg hasn't put in an appearance all day. He wasn't in his house last night, and it's not like him to hide up on a warm and sunny day. We shall see if he turns up tomorrow.

You'll have to look large to see the gulls.
