Clay Stamps...

I have a small basket full of these clay stamps that i have either carved or taken an impression from something that interests me, like the stamp with the 4 fish...this was a metal piece from a necklace. I carve into the leather hard clay, then bisque fire them so they are strong.....i've had them for many years, and keep adding to them......this is an example of a finished piece! I love making up stories as i arrange the stamps on a piece.....glazes do amazing things over texture.
