Orion over Paris

Taken from our window in Paris at 19:07, looking roughly ESE about 54 minutes after sunset. Orion (the Hunter) is the constellation at the top, with the three characteristic stars in his belt; Sirius (the brightest star in the sky) is below, a bit to the left. Above Sirus and further to the left is an airplane. The image is slightly cropped, and very mildly adjusted in Photoshop. For a similar view with clouds, see my journal at 2/14.

Today was virtually cloudless--the only such day we've experienced since arriving on January 5th, but it was still below normal--perhaps a bit above freezing.
