Spinning Her Web

Every Autumn there is a rash of garden spiders spinning their webs, and every Autumn there's a corresponding rash of spider photos. Here's another one.

Hand held with a macro lens, so the only part that is approximately in focus is the head and eyes, with some parts of the legs. This little lady is spinning her web right outside the window of the lounge/sitting room/salon. This photo taken through glass.

Wasn't it a relief to get some gentle rain overnight? Nothing like enough for the plant world. Leaves are dropping before they are brown.
