Something Old

Thanks to a heads-up from another Blipper yesterday, was reminded this was the Wee County's Doors Open weekend.

Good excuse to drag the Mrs. off for a two-wheeled daunder, popping in to Alloa's old cemetery for a bit of a local history fix. The place is locked normally, due to a minority of the rag-tag rabble and their inability to appreciate and respect their heritage, and it was the late eighties that I remember last being able to wander around the place. Even then this mausoleum, for the Mar and Kellie dignitaries, was always closed off, so it was good to have the opportunity to go in and chat to some of the people that are trying to keep it from disappearing completely. There's a load of history hidden away in here, being held and passed on by fewer and fewer dedicated folk.

Continuing the long exposure theme for the weekend, the ghostly figures of some of the other visitors adds something suitably atmospheric to this shot.
