drive effects

had to take my roommates parents to the airport, and not the relatively convenient LAX, but all the way down to Orange County. so that took up all my potential blip time. had to do something while driving.

In unrelated news, I had maybe the best night of surfing ever. went from 7 to after 10, the last hour or so in darkness. the moon finally came out (a bit too little to late) to keep us out a bit longer. probably several top 5 rides of my life. the whole experience was surreal. as the tide filled in a gully formed, waves started bouncing off the steep beach and reverberating back out opposite of the incoming swell, adding even more unpredictability to the already impossible to see waves. But is was so much fun guessing at swells with just a faint separation of light and dark to judge by. a great eye exercise, had some great drops as the reverberation waves would dramatically steepen the face, and if caught at the right time made for some gnarly rides. many reformed for rides all the way into the sand. got good speed, made some nice turns. just keep getting better, everything becomes more comfortable, more fun each and every time. my drug of choice.
