The Small Hours

I'd sat up a bit late as usual, though I could see lights on in another house up behind the neighbour's tree. I stepped out to enjoy the moonlight and clear my head as I'd been reading up for tonight's exam. One of the things I'd come across was the MAIB investigation into the loss of the yacht Ouzo with all three crew. I remember it being reported at the time but I'd never read the report.
It's amazingly thorough and although it's almost terrifying to read, I guess that if all car accidents were investigated this well, none of us would drive. Looking out at the moon I was glad I was on dry land.
