The Lozarithm Lens

Bowood 2014 #39

This was the last Sunday before the return to GMT, when the final hour between five and six p.m. was the closest I could get to the golden hour, and the week after that Bowood will close until the following Spring.

Autumn seemed to be advancing quickly with every visit, and there seemed to be even more reds and golds in the tree colours. The lake was largely free of geese as they were on the grass beyond the Grounds. I walked down to the lake and then up to the gardens and left c. 1720 hr.

I pulled up as I reached the exit road, Bucks Hill, as there were a group of deer grazing in front of the woods. I got some shots through the windscreen which all came out grossly out of focus because the lens had steamed up, unbeknownst to me, and this also affected the couple of shots I got when I got out of the car, before they retreated into more woodland.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Paragons - Man Next Door (I've Got To Get Away) (1968)
R.I.P. John Holt (11.7.1947 - 19.10.2014), who before becoming a solo artist was the lead singer with the Paragons. Their successes included the original The Tide Is High, Wear You To The Ball and Ali Baba, as well as this much-covered classic sometimes known as Quiet Place. The Paragons' original was produced by Duke Reid and first released on his Duke label as the B-side of Left With A Broken Heart.
