Who needs calm?

Still recovering from all the food in Iceland, I made my way to Lanark rail station for the 7.46 train to Glasgow central. The day was spent with a small software development team, trying to iron out some of their communications issues. They have fancy offices near the station, but thankfully there was no 9-course lunch - just sarnies and a bhaji or two.

I got a train back to Lanark at five-ish, ran around looking for books of raffle tickets, picked Megan up from West Linton and headed down to Netherurd hall for the annual "pudding night" fund raising. We were joined (eventually) by Mike and Paula (along with Lauren and the very small Torrin).

As usual, there was a run on Claire's thai chicken soup, so the people at the end table had to make do with a choice of lentil, carrot and courgette or minestrone. And then there were 25 puddings or so to choose from, including Margaret's clooty dumpling with whisky sauce and Biggar ice cream.

Angus and Hamish sold loads of raffle tickets - with a bottle of Bunahabhain as top prize. Unfortunately we won this piggy bank. It might make a good xmas present for someone ;)
