A wonderful day

Mr Barking and I were both a bit grumpy this morning. It could have been the storm that unsettled Cousteau and kept us awake. It could have been that we were both a bit just a bit cranky. Either way, the decision to head up to Mt Macedon was a good one.

Despite the fact that Cousteau rolled in people poo along the way, we had a fantastic day out. We walked and walked in the midday sun. We found a lake, Sanatorium Lake (which apparently served the local tuberculosis hospital in the late 1800s), where Cousteau filled up on water and refused to fetch the sticks we threw, despite our ridiculous encouragement! Then we carried on until Cousteau found his first echidna. He was very interested, but sensibly kept a safe distance from its spikes.

We had a quick lunch in Woodend. Went to the church we were married in to say a few prayers and then headed back to Sunbury for ice cream and a quick look at a house from the outside.

We are going to look inside tomorrow evening. We think we like it from the outside. God willing, the inside will stand up to our expectations.

A Skype chat with Rae and then antipasto on the deck.

Having a good day today.

Very happy.

~Barking~
