To Yell and Back

At the Great Wall

This is the second time I have had the chance to visit the Great Wall after a gap of about 13 years and in the intervening time, the whole experience has become highly commercialised - shuttle busus, cable cars and ski type lifts are now on hand to ferry visitors up to the stone works. It remains impressive nevertheless, and in good light (which was not evident this day) you can see the wall snaking off for miles in both directions.

As light rain gave way to hazy sunshine it did at least warm up a little, and if it is a first visit it is still quite awe inspiring.

Two more days of work, fast trains and planes...

Again (and again) apologies for lack of comments but it's a 6.00am start these days...
