The Rhubarb Triangle

Okay it may not be as exotic as the one in Bermuda but here in Yorkshire we remain proud! The Rhubarb Triangle is 9 square (triangular?!) miles encompassing Wakefield, Morley and Rothwell. Our allotment sadly no longer falls into this exclusive area although it did until the early 1900s when rhubarb was cultivated further afield than it is today. (I can sense you are all riveted by this!)

Wikipedia says, 'rhubarb is a native of Siberia and thrives in the wet cold winters of Yorkshire.' And it's just great in crumble with custard!
