Spring View from MOMA

This is a blip from the 5th floor of the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) in New York City, looking south onto 53rd Street.

The view is of personal interest to me, since I worked in the building on the left for nearly 10 years during the 1990s , when I was employed by Deutsche Bank. The building on the right, however, is actually of much greater architectural interest: It is popularly known as Black Rock (from the black stone of its construction), and it is the headquarters of CBS, the broadcasting company. It was designed by the eminent architect Eero Saarinen and opened in 1965.

We drove down to the City from North Adams area of Massachusetts this morning, and spent most of the afternoon at MOMA.
