The Dog And Doublet

The Dog And Doublet lies beside the Birmingham and Fazely Canal near Bodymoor Heath, West Midlands, a few miles from my home town of Sutton Coldfield.

It marks the starting point of a short walk, made with my brother and father on each anniversary of my mother's passing, to the Kingsbury Water Park, where there is a memorial bench dedicated to her. It was the first day of decent sunshine after several weeks of rather foul weather.
