Home Destroyed

This blip is a follow-up to "Blossoms after the Blaze", blipped a few days ago, showing dogwood blossoms against a house wall. That house was set on fire during an arsonist's rampage on the night of 26-27 December 2009; you can read the appalling story on the links above and below. To everyone's relief the arsonist was arrested a few weeks later and remains in jail without bail, under indictment for two counts of murder and 42 other charges.

Here's a full view of the house, which is effectively a total loss. The year above the front door reads 1828. The wall and the flowers from the earlier blip are on the right, and the dumpster for the fire's debris is on the left. It's just two doors down from our own house in Northampton.
