The Lozarithm Lens

Adam, Longstones Field

I have been busy recently working backwards through folders full of JPEGs, post-processing them and choosing archive blips to upload, and have reached 1999. This morning I posted up a picture of Adam, together with some notes about it, and I realised I hadn't had a proper look at the longstones Adam and Eve since.

This afternoon, I took a short drive over to Beckhampton and spent a couple of hours looking at both stones and their surroundings, a rather beautiful meadow full of wild flowers, insects and butterflies. I chose this close-up of Adam, highlighting its beautiful lichen markings for today's blip, and this skyscape for Blipfolio.

I haven't fiddled with the colour, by the way. The stone is grey.
