On Patrol

Last weeks visit to Crombie by Carnoustie saw mum and dad on guard I couldn't work out how many cygnets were on the nest but today's visit provided the answer. Mum and dad were proudly displaying all 8 cygnets. Although not in this shot, dad was patroling the edge of the loch keeping photographers at a safe distance and registering his presence in no uncertain terms.
