JUMPING FOR THE OPERA STRIKE

The orchestra, dancers and singers are striking to get better payment. Today they held a one hour, free outdoor performance. All the performances in the Opera House are cancelled due to the strike.

On the dancer's T-shirt it stands: "Strike. Why are we less worth, Anniken?" (our minister for culture)

The musicians in the Opera and Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra and those in Halden earn 33.000 NOK less than then symphony orchestras in Bergen, Stavanger and Trondheim, and they was promised higher payment for 4 years ago. Now our Minister says no, and nobody understands why.

It looks like Minister Anniken has jumped to hasty conclusions and don't want to listen to reason.
