Watching paint dry

The coastline along North Devon is pretty spectacular around Ilfracombe. But I've never been to Combe Martin so I thought I'd nip in for a looksee because it sounded quaint and pretty.
I might have known that it's a bit tacky (there's a shop called Disneypop's Delights for goodness sake) and I can attest that in the early summer it's populated by the usual crowd of grockles wandering up and down the high street with nothing to do (apart from sit in a cafe which is lacking any form of style or imagination).
