The Edge of the Wold

Debris

This photo taken in the pouring rain has minimal photographic merit, but it does record something I've never seen before. After the high tide receded, the mudflats were strewn with woody and other debris carried down the River Kent in flood. This was the first flood after about 3 months of drought and record low water levels, and presumably a large volume of debris had accumulated in the river waiting to be mobilised by the first spate.
