Land Iguana Feeding

A relatively large Land Iguana feeding, at Urbina Bay, Isabela Island in the Galapagos. It's unclear as yet whether land iguanas and marine iguanas evolved separate ancestors or a single one, but today they are very different creatures, with the land species limited strictly to terra firma. Both are vegetarians. The land variety grows somewhat less long than its marine relative, to a bit less than a meter.
