"Where are YOU from, then?"

When you go to Skye, you expect a dreich day or two. And while this holiday had some great weather, today was a bit windy and grim.

It didn't stop us trying to fly a kite among the country pancakes in the neighbouring field - though a huge entanglement followed.

Later we braved a stroll through the village to nearby Fiskavaig. On the way back, two blokes with North-Eastern accents asked where the pub was. Not only was one of them from Hartlepool, it turned out that he'd been at school with Chris's dad.

Afterwards, we couldn't help wondering what the odds of that coincidence were.

As the sun got lower, the wind seemed to finally shift the clouds.
