slowly sort of happening

Bar the light fitting, a bit more beading or shallow skirting around some gaps and the doors on the wardrobe, the bedroom in the flat is now just about habitable, presuming the refitted radiator doesn't explode when the heating system is refilled. Bar the cistern, a mirror, the bath sealant and the towel rail the bathroom is also just about almost sort of getting towards being nearly finishedish. One of the three fitting-points from the towel rail decided to go from being a rawlplug in a small hole in the wall to being a hole the thickness and depth of my middle finger and worsened with each attempt to get a thicker fitment to stay in place, the wall apparently being made of cheese at this point. Hopefully the filler will cure sufficiently overnight for the towel-rail-fitting process to be completed tomorrow to allow the tentative repressurisation of the half-drained heating system when there are sufficient people about to watch all the recently-disengaged valves hawklikely in case they explode or start leaking insidiously.

As Edgar chose to start shouting semi-distressfully early this morning I didn't get a great deal of sleep and started feeling somewhat useless later in the afternoon, not helped by the general nervousness of having to deal with plumbing. I felt nice and awake when biking over in the morning and when carrying some stuff out to the car in the rain when Nicky (who'd caught up on some sleep along with the wingpiglet after my parents left to walk over the flat) went back home and fortunately woke up on my own journey back but didn't achieve as much as I'd've liked and will thus have to use up some of tomorrow doing the same sort of thing, though parents are happy to help again as they still get to pop to the kitchen and poke at the baby every few minutes. I also have Monday and Tuesday morning off so need not worry about ending the day in a state in which I'm capable of complex thought.
