Earthquake - The Day After

It was a quiet start to the day, cloudy and cool. The big gusts of Nor West wind forcast didn't arrive but the clouds were forever changing making quite dramatic appearances.

It was the first time I had ventured out of my environment since the quake struck.  I was amazed at the changes in the landscape with silt, fallen trees and terriable cracks in the roads. Workmen were everywhere assessing and repairing.

Daughter A flew to Wellington today, the airport was reasonably busy after its closure yesterday.  She flew out on a smaller plane and was thankful those gale force winds weren't to be.

I would like to thank you all for your kind and thoughtful words, they are truely appreciated during this very unsettling time, thanks :)
