Altar of Sacrifice, Aurora Cenotaph

I wore my black leather jacket with my poppy on it and the RCAF wings pin. I thought of my father who was a wireless instructor in the RCAF stationed at the Canadian National Exhibition grounds in Toronto, in Montreal, and another place or two. He loved planes but never left the country and never flew so far as I know. After the war he studied art at the Ontario College of Art (recently the Ontario College of Art and Design and this year now OCAD University) and became an illustrator for catalogues and magazines. He would be 93 next month but passed away in 1978.
