The Lozarithm Lens

Mists

There was no sign of these mists when I set off this afternoon and I had to pull over at the top of Old Derry Hill to take this view, which was taken opposite the Lansdowne Arms pub, looking across Pewsham vale towards Chippenham at 14:41 hr. The roads are still very icey and I had to abandon my journey to Reybridge as the ungritted road down Naish Hill was too slippery for safety.

This picture has the monotone effect I was looking for but gives a slightly misleading effect by its absence of colour. The Extras show a couple of alternative views taken between 14:38 and 14:42 to redress the balance.
